EDD90K Honda S2000: Road and Track Build & Specs

EDD90K Honda S2000: Road and Track Build & Specs

I’ve owned this Honda S2000 longer than any other car. When I bought it, it was almost standard, apart from upgraded brakes and coilovers. Over the years, it’s evolved from a fun street car into my take on a capable road and track build.

This hasn’t been a build that only comes out for track days. I’ve taken it on plenty of trips, including a two-week driving holiday around Europe. For me, that’s what makes it special: it’s a car I can enjoy on track and still take away for a proper road trip.

Below is the current specification of my EDD90K Honda S2000, covering its F20C2 engine, Öhlins suspension, AP Racing brakes, wheel and tyre setups, bodywork and interior.

Living with the build

After years of ownership, this S2000 is still a car I love driving. It pulls well through the gears, has seen plenty of track days and has taken me around Europe. That mix of road trips and track time is what this build is about.

Problems over the years, 10s of track days and 23K miles.

  • Rear calipers seized
  • Oil cap cracked on track
  • Intake temperature management on track/hot days

So overall, problem free motoring! Car is driven hard each time it is out, serviced every 2-3K miles, oil changes after each track day. Diff fluids, gearbox oil done too. Honda made something special.
